Dear Everyone,

I received the following email today after arriving home from a long hour and a half in the dentist’s chair having an unsuccessful root canal pulled out. Not fun. About as fun as being locked out of a must see gallery. And Boucherat is a must see gallery. For those of you who read this blog, you’ll know that I was disappointed to have missed out on seeing a show there last week. The purportedly fantastic Woodpile Collective show, Knew. So, thank you bill for your personal attention. I do appreciate your response. In fact I feel kinda special. And I’m truly glad to know your hours of operation, cuz I wanna be there!

Hey Christine,

I tried to post the following on your blog when I read it yesterday. I couldn’t get it to post a comment however, so I was wondering if you could post it up there?

You’ve pointed out an issue that we are very sensitive about and we would like to quell the notion that we are never open as soon as possible. We try our hardest to provide as much exposure for the art we deal with as possible, both for the artists benefit, as well as the public who come to see it. However, sometimes things are more difficult than one would think.

To that end, we are currently assembling a crew of dedicated followers to help us out, but for now, we’ll need a little while to get things organized. Opening downstairs is a big move for us, and we weren’t quite prepared for the speed at which it all happened, so please excuse the bumpy ride as we get going.

We apologize for any inconvenience our gallery may have caused you last Wednesday. We too would prefer more regular hours, however it may take us a few months yet to get this new space up and running at full speed.

To reduce confusion therefore we have decided to stick with the hours for our old space upstairs @ 16 1/2:

Thursday to Sunday : 11am – 5:30pm

If you should need to come down anytime outside of those hours, please feel free to contact us and let us know a time more convenient for you. We will do our best to accomodate.

The exhibit is up until the 4th of September.

Be seeing you,
